#2 – Galapagos Islands, ECUADOR
Explore the islands by boat cruise or on foot.
Located 900 km (560 mi) west of continental Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands (Islas Galápagos) contributed to the inception of Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection. Today the Galápagos is sadly getting overrun by tourists. Take an 8 day boat and cruise around several islands. Most cruising is at night which leaves the daytime to explore the islands on foot. If you are a lover of nature and animals, you will have a wonderful time!
