A Greek Island Odyssey: Sailing through the Cyclades Islands to Santorini

I have been living on the Greek island of Syros for many years, enjoying its wonderful lifestyle and unique experiences. Syros is the capital of the Cyclades, the most well known of the Greek Island groups located in the Aegean Sea, and it includes famous names like Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Ios and—of course—Santorini.
One experience that had eluded me over the years, however, was the opportunity to sail the Aegean Sea. In the spring, summer and autumn months, I would see the yachts sail into the bay from my home in the west coast village of Kini on Syros. They usually came in the late afternoon seeking safe harbour and refuge for the night….
