#4 – Himalayas and Mount Everest, NEPAL
This is the best place on earth to be high in the mountains!
Trekking around the Himalayas is an incredible experience. Whether you explore the Indian, Pakistan or Nepal regions, its an incredible experience to hike higher and higher into the mountains. In Nepal, start your journey by flying from Kathmandu to Lukla and then hike far up to Gokyo Ri (5,357 m) from where you cross over the dreaded Cho La Pass (5,330m) and then over and up to Everest Basecamp (5,364 m). Hike up to Kala Patthar (5,643 m) for a fantastic view of Mount Everest (if not covered in clouds).
